At MAES we have different fuels available at our pumps. In addition to the regular petrol and diesel, we often also have Premium fuel. It comes with a little extra cost, but you get an even better quality in return. Don’t worry, with the regular Euro 95 and diesel you already have excellent fuel. But certainly for certain cars, such as old-timers, we also have premium petrol and diesel, which are even better for your car thanks to some additives. They have a cleaning effect and provide more energy from every drop of fuel. Discover them below.
Premium petrols
In addition to the standard Euro 95 petrol, you already have Euro 98 at many stations for petrol cars, this petrol is better suited for cars with a higher power. But we also have SHELL V-POWER PETROL and SYNERGY SUPREME+ PREMIUM PETROL.
SHELL V-POWER Petrol, can only be found at our SHELL stations. Like Euro 98, it has a higher octane percentage than regular gasoline, which improves ignition quality and helps the fuel ignite evenly at the right time. This way you get more energy from every drop of petrol.
It has up to 3x more cleaning molecules than regular gasoline and this ensures less deposits on the important engine parts. In some cases it can even remove up to 80% of the dirt deposits that were already there. This ensures even better engine performance. It also reduces friction in the engine, because it reduces energy loss.
SYNERGY SUPREME+ Premium Petrol can only be found at our ESSO stations. Just like the SHELL V-Power petrol, it has more cleaning power than the regular Euro 95 petrol. The cleaner the car, the better it can perform. Like the premium product at SHELL, it also has a higher octane rating, which helps to reduce thumping in higher-power cars. In addition, additional molecules have also been added via an additive to reduce friction in the engine. This helps prevent wear and makes everything work more efficiently. Finally, it is also designed to remove more pesky deposits from the engine, helping to take better care of your engine and allow you to drive more economically. The product is also recommended for the older engines of vintage cars.
You can use all these premium petrols in any petrol engine and also alternately.
Premium diesels
In addition to the regular diesel, we also have premium diesels. Diesel engines have undergone a rapid evolution in recent years and place increasingly higher demands on the fuel injected. That is why we also have premium diesels available for our customers with our own Diesel B7 Supremium, Synergy Supreme+ premium diesel and SHELL V-Power diesel.
DIESEL B7 SUPREMIUM, you can only get this at our MAES stations. This diesel goes one step above the regular diesel. Thanks to an extra additive package, developed in collaboration with Wynn’s, this diesel has a higher cleaning power, which ensures a cleaner engine, cleaner combustion, more power & fewer emissions.
SYNERGY SUPREME+PREMIUM DIESEL, can only be found at our ESSO stations. By adding extra molecules to the Synergy Supreme+ diesel, we ensure that the fuel has more cleaning power compared to normal diesel. And they are designed to give more power. For example, the Synergy Supreme+ Diesel helps to take better care of your engine, so that it performs better. Finally, it is also designed to remove more pesky deposits from the engine, helping to take better care of your engine and allow you to drive more economically. The product can be used in any diesel engine and you can also use it alternately.
SHELL V-POWER DIESEL, can only be found at our SHELL stations. SHELL V-POWER Diesel has a unique formula by adding certain additives. This allows for more effective combustion of the fuel. In this way more energy can be obtained from every drop of diesel.
In addition, it also ensures that no more dirt deposits take place and it ensures that the existing dirt deposits can also be removed by Shell V-POWER Petrol. A cleaner engine makes for a more fuel-efficient engine. The product can be used in any diesel engine and you can also use it alternately.
You can use all these products in any diesel engine and switch between them.
Renewable diesel
In addition to our premium diesel, we also have a fully renewable diesel, DIESEL XTL-HVO. HVO stands for Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil and is a 100% organic diesel that burdens the environment much less. Discover this environmentally friendly fuel here.

My address has been changed, how should I report this
If your address is changed, it is best to let us know, so you will not have any problems when you, for example, request a new card. You can quickly adjust this yourself via MY MAES, or you can easily do this by sending it via an email to [email protected] or via the contact page on our website.
I have a different bank account number, do I have to provide this and how?
When changing your bank account number, it is best to report this as soon as possible in order not to have any problems with the direct debit. This keeps everything running smoothly and you do not risk the blocking of your fuel card. You can do this conveniently via an email at [email protected] or on the contact page of MAES.
I have a new VAT number, should I have it changed?
If your VAT number is changed, it is best to let us know, so you always get the correct information on your invoice. You can do this easily by telling us this via an email to [email protected] or via the contact page on our website.
Where can I find my invoices online?
To download your invoices you can always go to “My MAES”, where you can find all information. Do you no longer have your login details? Contact us via email or the contact page.

What is a reservation amount when using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, …)
After a refueling I see that 125 € has been withdrawn from my account. How come? Your card issuer makes a “reservation” when unhooking the gun. This amount is only a temporary reservation and will never be deducted from your account. This amount will disappear after a few days. You can repeat this question with another question. Eg more has been deducted from my card than I have refueled? This is probably a reservation amount.

What other fuel cards are accepted at MAES?
MAES works together with a range of partners, which enabled us to expand our fuel card network to 1,700 stations in the Benelux. This means that you can of course also fuel at MAES with these partners’ cards. Via our stationfinder you can see which cards are accepted where.

Can I request camera images from MAES?
You cannot request camera images via us. Our stations have camera security, but for privacy we can only give it to the police. What is the difference between regular diesel and Supremium Diesel?

What is the difference between Euro Super 95 & Super 98
Which octane rating is suitable for your car’s engine depends on the octane rating specified by the manufacturer. Nowadays almost all petrol cars are equipped with an engine management system, which checks during combustion whether petrol with RON 95 (regular Euro 95) or RON 98 (Shell V-Power Petrol) has been refueled. The engine makes optimal use of the available octane number and Shell V-Power Petrol delivers better performance. If your car is suitable for Euro 95, you can always refuel Shell V-Power Petrol.

What exactly is E5, E10 or B7?
From 12 October 2018, all service stations in the EU will have to put new fuel labels on their pumps. These labels are the same across Europe and should make it easier to know what to fill up. In addition to the labels on the pumps, these also appear on the new vehicles (in the maintenance booklet and in the fuel filler flap) to show which fuel to use to avoid problems.
- Petrol types: The petrol types have a round shape with the letter “E” followed by a number. The number after the “E” represents the maximum percentage of biocomponents that may be incorporated. These biocomponents are added to reduce CO2 emissions. For example, Euro 95 will be designated E10 and Super 98 will become E5.
- Diesel types: The diesel types get a square shape with the letter B, which does not stand for Petrol, so do not get caught here. But represents the maximum percentage of specific biodiesel components that may be incorporated. The XTL indicates that the fuel is synthetic and is not made from crude oil.
- Gaseous fuels: For gaseous fuels, the label is diamond-shaped.
To avoid confusion, the old product names on the pumps are not going to disappear immediately.
